My best selling stud cutter collections are now available for use with Precious Metal Clay! These have a much deeper embossing element which allows you to use with a clay thickness of approximately 1mm-1.2mm to cut down on materials costs.

*Approximate size of items before firing (this does not include shrinkage)*

Coconut: 11x9mm
Flamingo (reflective pair): 15x11mm
Frangipani Flower: 10mm
Hibiscus Flower: 11mm
Monstera Leaf: 11x9mm
Palm Tree (reflective pair): 13x10mm
Parrot (reflective pair): 13x12mm
Syngonium Leaf: 11x8mm
Toucan (reflective pair): 13x11mm

*How to use*

1) Roll out your PMC to a thickness of 1mm-1.2mm ~ you may need to use guides for an even thickness.

2) Gently press the cutter into the clay and pull straight up. If your clay is too sticky you might need to consider using a release agent or allow the rolled out clay to firm up a little before using your cutter.  You can also use clingfilm over the top of your clay when you cut to give a more 3D/puffy effect to your pieces.

3) Remove any excess clay from around the cut out shape and allow the pieces to dry out. Sand to remove any rough edges once dry.

4) Fire and polish your metal clay pieces as usual

*Care*

Clean with warm soapy water, isopropyl alcohol or baby wipes.
Do not expose to heat or sun.
Do not expose to harsh chemicals that can melt the PLA
Do not use in the dishwasher.

Please note that 3D printed cutters can occasionally have tiny imperfections where the nozzle lifts away from the cutter on its final layer and where the "seams" are. This is normal and to be expected of 3D printed cutters

My cutters are fully designed, printed and tested by myself to ensure the best quality possible.

Please note some of the pictures are shown using polymer clay of the same thickness for illustration purposes.

  •  1) Roll clay out to approximately 2.5-3mm thick (1st/2nd thickest setting on most pasta machines) and then roll it onto your cutting tile so it is well adhered.

    2) Dip the cutting side of the cutter into a damp soapy sponge a couple of times (you can also dust the clay with cornflower for the same effect).

    3) Press the cutter down firmly then pull straight up. You can also use the "double cut" method where you press the cutter in a little way, pull it off, then cut again over the top.

    4) Bake your pieces and decorate as you wish. Cut onto the same tile you bake with to avoid distorting tricky shapes.
